Grow through the love of Jesus
Hi Year 6!
I hope you have all had a good break over Christmas.
Unfortunately, due to the new lockdown rules, school is not open to everyone and some of you will have to remain at home. This means that you will be learning remotely using online platforms.
I will be uploading daily work on SeeSaw which I expect you all to be completing to the same standard as you would in class and returning to me that day. You should all have your SeeSaw login details but if you don't, contact the school office.
I also expect you all to be using SATs companion. Visit https://app.satscompanion.com/login and login as normal. Tasks will be set there weekly for you to complete around the daily SeeSaw tasks. These should be completed by Friday each week.
In addition to that, you can also log onto Prodigy at https://play.prodigygame.com/
You can contact me through SeeSaw and on SATs companion if you are unsure or need help. I will be giving feedback and responding to your work and comments in the afternoons, Monday - Friday.
If anybody has any issues with internet or devices, please contact the school office as we may be able to help.
I know remote learning can be difficult but please make sure you are trying to access work daily. I look forward to seeing some of you tomorrow and hopefully, all of you in February!

To reflect on what the Kingdom of God is like
To reflect on the importance of responding to the invitation to the Kingdom
To know that everyone is called to enter the Kingdom and reflect on our response
To reflect on words and deeds necessary to show commitment to the Kingdom
To know that Jesus’ miracles reflected the beginning of the Kingdom and show us what God is like
Year 6 PE is timetabled on Monday.
Please ensure your child's PE kit is in school on the above day.
PE kit is white t-shirt, black shorts and pumps / trainers. During the winter, children may wear black or blue jogging bottoms.
5 minutes of math battles daily using the prodigy website.
All problems are linked to what we are learning in class. This is a fun way of incorporating maths at home and allowing me to monitor their progress in each topic.
Weekly quizzes on www.diagnosticquestions.com are set on Friday and the deadline is Wednesday.
This is to further support what we are learning in class but to stretch children to think of how and why they know - not just answer the question.
If your child has any difficulty with logging in or accessing the internet, they can see me for support in their own time.
Spellings are set each week for children to learn. These will either be from the year 5/6 spelling list or word practicing rules we are investigating in spelling. Children are expected to learn the spelling of the words and write them in context in a sentence.
This week, our spellings are:
