Year 2 have produced a video that introduces the children to their teachers and shows what will be happening next year in the classroom. We look forward to seeing you in September!

This half term we are learning:



This half term we will be reading the book ‘Superworm’ by Julia Donaldson. The children will be writing a letter.

We will be focusing on using:

  • Capital letters to start sentences
  • Finger spaces
  • Full stops 
  • Forming lower case letters correctly

Maths: Place value

  • Counting to ten, forwards and backwards
  • Count, read and write numbers to 10
  • Given a number, identify one more or one less
  • Identify and represent numbers using objects, pictorial representations

Please ensure that you read with your child every night and practise their spellings, that are sent home every Friday. 



Year 1 PE is timetabled on Thursday

Please ensure your child's PE kit is in school on the above day.

PE kit is white t-shirt, black shorts and pumps / trainers.  During the winter, children may wear black or blue jogging bottoms.
