English: Traditional Tales, Poetry and Meerkat Mail - we are looking at sentence structure, presentation of work including handwriting, suffixes and the vocabulary we can use to make our writing exciting!
RE: The Mass and how it is a celebration.
History - Florence Nightingale and how she contributed to national and international changes in hospitals.
Geography - Key physical and human features.
Art- Continue to develop our drawing skills using different patterns an shapes.
PSHE - During circle time this half term will look at how we play at playtime and how we deal with any conflict using the Restorative Approach.
Science- Our focus this half term will be seasonal changes and measuring temperatures and tracking what time it goes dark and light.
Year 2 PE is timetabled on Wednesday.
Please ensure your child's PE kit is in school on Wednesdays.
PE kit is white t-shirt, black shorts and pumps / trainers. During the winter, children may wear black or blue jogging bottoms.
We learn at St Ambrose in a safe environment, following a catholic education.

The children had so much fun taking part in our World Book day this year! We read stories and enjoyed hot chocolates and biscuits, listened to stories read by year 6 children and had fun contributing to our whole school story.
