Can you believe what has happened to little Johnny Grey? A blue spaceship has abducted seven of his favourite toys!

This half term we will be learning to orally retell a newspaper report using story maps and actions. We ask parents to support children with learning this text at home orally, so that children can use them to create their own versions.

Below is a copy of the text and story map.

Spring 1

In Year 1, we have been working super hard all half term and today we became OFFICIAL SUPERHEROES!

We took part in many activities that tested out superhero strength.

From freeing our friend Bucky from behind the brick wall to helping Aquaman save the sea creatures from an ancient sea monster.

The children had so much fun taking part in our Superhero day and thank you parents/carers for providing the children with excellent costumes.
